Romy, a 26-year-old artist, was born in Groningen, Netherlands. She dedicated nine years to studying art, starting with four years of Art & Design at the local art academy. Later, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Design, specializing in Illustration & Animation at the Art Academy Minerva, also in Groningen.
At the age of 19, she officially registered her company, initially combining her lifestyle blog with illustration design assignments. However, since 2019, when she was 23, her primary focus shifted to pattern designing and illustrating. Since 2021, this has become her full-time and happy job.
Romy Palstra's life is dedicated to creating beautiful images and making the world more fascinating. Her illustrations burst with cheerfulness, vibrant colors, and contemporary beauty. Traveling fuels her inspiration, a cherished pursuit alongside illustrating. Nature, particularly plants, is a real muse, reflected abundantly in her patterns and illustrations.
