To celebrate International Women’s Day, Josefinas kicked off a thoughtful conversation about the role of shoes in the social definition of women. Where? At the most prestigious design school in the world: the Parsons School of Design in New York!
Are high heels really synonymous with confidence? Or do they actually bolster the notion of a fragile, dependent woman? These were the questions put forward in March’s #ProudToBeAWoman Talk – “A Walk in a Woman’s World”.
Alongside the president of the iconic Elizabeth Arden cosmetics company, Jue Wong, the designer and university professor Nancy Geist, the businesswoman Mel Lim and also the historian Gina Walker, Maria Cunha – CEO and co-founder of Josefinas – shared what we’ve always stood for: women can be powerful and confident wearing flats.
In a panel 100% made up of women, Josefinas was the sole Portuguese brand represented and we feel truly honored for having the opportunity to talk with inspiring women that fight for the same ideals as us: gender equality, justice, female friendship and feminine power.
The “A Walk in a Woman’s World” talk was a real touchstone not only for Josefinas’ history but for the history of all national brands and we’re genuinely happy, proud and radiant – we want to share this event with you!
